Titleon

About Titleon

Short answer. Titleon is a free meta title and meta description generator for SEO freelancers, agencies and site owners. It writes three options per page with an AI model, checks each against Google's width limits, and keeps your history in your own browser.

Why it exists

Writing meta tags by hand means counting characters, guessing pixel widths and repeating the work for every page. Titleon does the counting while you watch, and bulk mode turns a day of copy work into a CSV.

Privacy and data

  • No accounts. You do not sign up or log in.
  • What is sent. To write options, Titleon fetches the public page and sends its headings and main text to Gemini, an AI model from Google. Google may use text sent through its free tier to improve its products, which is why Titleon only ever sends public page text. If the AI is busy or out of its free allowance, Titleon's own free writer writes the options instead.
  • What is stored. Your recent pages are saved only in your browser's local storage. Clear your browser data and they are gone.
  • What is blocked. Titleon refuses private and internal network addresses, so it cannot be used to reach pages that are not public.
  • Usage limits. To keep Titleon free, each visitor can write meta tags for up to 100 pages an hour. The count uses a scrambled code that changes every day, never your IP address itself.

How it is built

The site is static pages. A serverless function fetches the page, strips it to clean text and writes the options. Character counts and pixel widths are calculated in your browser.

Limits to know about

  • Google may rewrite titles and descriptions. No tool can guarantee what appears in search.
  • Pages that build all of their content with JavaScript, or that block automated requests, may not be readable.
  • AI output should be reviewed. Check every claim against the page before you publish.
  • Titleon is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
